Our first successful collaboration with FISP at the unique Hospital Sant Pau in Barcelona, Spain. FISP is an organisation aimed at financing medical research which was started by leading doctors. We were happy to bring DBA Academist Ivan Petrenko to make his Barcelona debut in such an inspiring setting. The concert marked the first event in helping connect philanthropy around both medicine and music.
Congratulations Akari Bastiaens for winning the 1st Prize and Ljubljana Festival Prize at the important Chopin Competition in Szafarnia, Poland for young pianists. It’s her second big win in a row, having won the Prinses Christina Competition in the Netherlands earlier this week! It is a true testament to the great work of Tatiana Abayeva and Borys Fedorov at the Davidsbundler Academy where Akari is in the ‘Gold Academist’ Program as well as Joop Celis at the Maastricht Conservatory.
Congratulations to Akari Bastiaens for the big win at Amare, The Hague. Akari won the first prize, Public Prize, Press Prize and Klassiek op het Amstelveld prize in the National Final of the Princess Christina Competition.
