The highlight of the evening will be a concert celebrating renowned female Ukrainian composers and some of their international peers:
From the rich historical folklore of Ukrainians Hanna Havrylets and Zhanna Kolodub, poetic pieces by Bohdana Frolyak, to the profound emotional expression of Clara Schumann: the program is an ode to the power of women, performed by world-class female musicians. Each with their own story, each simultaneously vulnerable and powerful in their compositions. Women who, despite unprecedented odds, have the courage to stand up against injustice, in a centuries-long struggle for independence and equality - Because courageous women can be an inspiration to everyone.
