About the event

Behind the iconic facade at 215 Laan van Meerdervoort in The Hague, chamber music concerts are held on a regular basis. On December 21, Kyiv Chamber Ensemble will perform a program with works by Silvestrov,  Poklad, and Franck at the Davidsbündler Music Academy's salon.

The Davidsbündler Music Academy was the brainchild of co-founders Ukrainian pianist Anna Fedorova and double bass player and cellist Nicholas Schwartz. Its mission - to provide top quality musical education for young talents.

Anna Fedorova’s parents, Borys Fedorov and Tatiana Abayeva are the two Ukrainian piano professors on staff. Both of them highly successful and sought after teachers in Kyiv, they have been instrumental in guiding and launching the careers of many of today’s international pianists. Currently, the Davidsbündler Music Academy provides full scholarships to 10 young and very talented Ukrainian musicians studying here.

We are extra delighted to welcome and host these Ukrainian musicians who are visiting The Netherlands  bringing you a programme of hope and solidarity  featuring music of various Ukrainian composers. The Kyiv Chamber Ensemble consists of violinists Alexej Pevzner, Mykhalo Bilych and Galyna Bilych; violist Mikhail Zemtsov; cellist Anna Nuzha and pianist Andrej Vasin.
