Concert Starts: 20:00
Behind the iconic facade of 215 Laan van Meerdervoort in The Hague, chamber music concerts are held on a regular basis. There, in the intimate setting of the Davidsbündler Music Academy's salon, the Utrecht String Quartet will perform works by Arthur Lourié, Soulima Stravinsky and Alexander Glazunov - Russian composers who chose to emigrate to the West as a result of the Bolshevik Revolution. Largely not well-known to the general public, these pieces are wonderful to experience on a winter’s night!
Utrecht String Quartet
If you feel like listening to a "richly colored and intensely dramatic performance" (The New York Times), we invite you to join us for this concert by the Utrecht String Quartet. The members find great joy in playing well-known works, well aware that the great composers wrote timeless masterpieces. However, the Quartet have also gained their excellent reputation because of their search for lost and forgotten repertoire and their collaboration with contemporary composers. The Utrecht String Quartet consists of violinists Eeva Koskinen and Katherine Routley, violist Mikhail Zemtsov and cellist Sebastian Koloski.
