Double Bass Extravaganza | International Students Concert

A myriad of double bassists and their large, deep sounding instruments perform solo and chamber music pieces written for the double bass as well as transcriptions. This concert includes both advanced students and established double bass artists.

This concert is a culmination of the work of a number of international bass students with three renowned double bassists:

Rodrigo Moro Martin, principal of the London Symphony Orchestra

Olivier Thiery, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and professor at the Amsterdam Conservatory

Nicholas Schwartz, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and international competition winner.

The program will include origional music for double bass solo, double bass and piano and double bass ensemble.
