Besides working with young cello talents, Benedict will share concert stories and share insignt on carreer building. To play in the masterclasee, cellists can apply on this page. 

Benedict Kloeckner is one of the most exciting cellists of his generation. “Remarkable, really remarkable, perfect playing. Absolute control of technique, intonation and color.” (Daniel Barenboim).

A few lucky young cellists and spectators will be inspired, learn and enjoy in the intimate setting of the Davidsbündler Academy Salon.

 

Benedict Kloeckner began his professional training at the age of 14 with Martin Ostertag at the Karlsruhe University of Music. From 2009 to 2016 he studied cello at Kronberg Academy with Frans Helmerson and Gary Hoffman. Mentors were Gidon Kremer , Steven Isserlis , David Geringas , Michael Sanderling and András Schiff .

As a soloist, Benedict Kloeckner has performed in Europe, the USA and Korea with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra London, the German Radio Philharmonic, the radio symphony orchestras of MDR and NDR, the German State Philharmonic, the Russian and Polish State Orchestra, the Slovakian Radio Orchestra and the  Kremerata Baltica , the Oslo Camerata , the Chamber Orchestras of Prague, Berlin and Amsterdam and the Arcos Chamber Orchestra New York.
