The Team

Anna Fedorova is one of the top concert pianists in the world today. Anna's playing is "unfailingly sensitive, poetic and tasteful, the phrases flexibly shaped even when the technical going gets tough (...) she never forces her tone and never loses her cool” (Gramophone). From an early age, Anna demonstrated an innate musical maturity and astounding technical abilities. Her live recording of Rachmaninoff’s 2nd Piano Concerto has more than 40 million views on YouTube and is highly acclaimed by critics and world-renowned musicians. She regularly performs at the world’s most prestigious concert halls.

Anna comes from Kiev, Ukraine, and was born into a family of pianists.

Born in Boston, double bassist Nicholas Schwartz began his studies at Boston University. His teachers included Edwin Barker and Matthew McDonald. He has worked regularly as a substitute with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Pops Orchestra. During the 2012–13 season, he took part in the Berlin Philharmonic Herbert von Karajan Academy.Nicky has won various prizes, including first prize at the International Society of Bassists and the Stulberg International String Competition. He has spent many summers playing in the Verbier Festival Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra. He performs with pianist Anna Fedorova as the Oyster Duo. Since August 2013, Nicholas Schwartz has been a member of the Concertgebouw Orchestra.

After studying Piano, Organ and Harpsichord at the Royal College of Music and taking a postgrad in music education, Diana spent her entire working life as a school class music teacher and private piano teacher.

Diana's passion has always been to guide young people to have the best possible experience of making music and as coordinator of the student application, timetabling and hosting side of the academy, she is constantly available to help students with their many queries.

With a history as a voluntary proof-reader, concert organiser and promoter, she brings her organisational and communication skills to the team relishing attending to every tiny detail and  relentless in her pursuit of accuracy and efficiency.

Kate joined the Production team in September 2023. She is responsible for coordinating events by making project schedules for educational events, informing visiting artists about the details of the projects and coordinating the volunteers of the academy. She has had experience within the organisation of multiple Dutch Orchestras, for example the Dutch National Student Orchestra, and is the chair of the umbrella organisation of Dutch Student Orchestra's (KONSO). Besides her work at the academy, she is a full-time master student of Applied Physics at the Technical University of Delft.

Annelaure has been part of the Davidsbündler team since its creation.

  A volunteer and host at our events, she creates a warm and inviting home-like environment for our guests and performers. As an Organizational Consultant and multi-disciplinary solutionist, her goal is to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of the Academy with sensitivity and through a practical solution-based approach, (by sharing her expertise and insights in the area of Property Management amongst others).

Besides her work at the Academy, Annelaure is the Executive Assistant of a prominent War Crimes Prosecutor, as well as a Freelance Entrepreneur in the fields of Property Management, Interior Design, Fundraising and Event Planning.
